Our present membership totals 90 and new members are always welcome.
We are a very active group, we get involved and observe all of our Patriotic Holidays and Ceremonies.
We also work very hard at our Fund Raisers to generate the funds needed to support many in need, youth programs and community projects.
To be eligible for membership in the American Legion, you must have an honorable discharge from the United States Military and served at least one day on active duty in the following periods.
World War I
April 6th 1918 - November 11th 1918
World War II
December 7th 1941 - December 31st 1946
U.S. Merchant Marines in WWII
December 7th 1941 - August 15th 1945
(Eligible only if attached for active service duty with the Coast Guard, Army or Navy)
February 28th 1961 - May 7th 1975
December 20th 1989 - January 31st 1990
June 25th 1950 - January 31st 1955
Lebanon and Grenada
August 24th 1982 - July 31st 1984
Persian Gulf / War on Terrorism
August 2nd 1990 - To Cessation of hostilities as determined by the United States Government
You are eligible for membership if:
Your basic training time was on federal activation orders and during the above periods. You were federally activated subsequent to and during any of the period given above. Your activation were for training or for missions; check the title and subsection of your activation orders.
Under eligibility guidelines for Legion membership, the term "active duty" as used in our national constitution includes "active duty for training."
